Hi, I’m Meg, the founder of Thistle and Sol.

After spending over a decade in commercial real estate, I realized that while I’d built a successful career, my true passion had always been closer to home—quite literally. For years, I found joy in renovating my own houses, transforming them into spaces that felt not just beautiful, but deeply comforting and personal.

Over time, friends and family began encouraging me to take that passion beyond my own walls. They saw what I didn’t at first: that I had a gift for creating spaces that weren’t just stylish, but warm, welcoming, and full of life. With their encouragement, Thistle and Sol was born.

My approach to design is shaped by my love of travel and exploration with my husband. Every place we visit adds new textures, colors, and perspectives that inspire my work. Whether it’s the simplicity of a Scandinavian cabin or the warmth of a Mediterranean villa, I believe every home should reflect both beauty and soul.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me out adventuring or at home, curled up with my dog, reading a good book, soaking in the kind of cozy comfort I love bringing to others.
